Assam D.El.Ed Admission Notice 2024

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam has announced the admission process for the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) for the academic year 2024. 

In this regard, online applications are hereby invited from eligible candidates who are permanent residents of Assam to appear in the Pre-Entry Test (PET)-2024 for admission into 2 Year Diploma in D.El.Ed Course.

Interested candidates can summit online applications for PET 2024 @scertpet.co.in. The last date to apply for Assam D.El.Ed PET 2024 has been extended till 18/08/2024.

Assam D.El.Ed Entrance Exam Date

The SCERT Assam will conduct the Pre Entry Test (PET 2024) on 8th September 2024 for admission into 2 Year Diploma in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) Course. The online application process for D.El.Ed Entrance Exam has begun from 22nd July 2024, and will continue till 11th August 2024. 

The course will be conducted in the NCTE recognized Teacher Education Institutes (DIET/CTE/Normal School/BTC/Pvt. TEIs) of the state for the academic session 2024-2026

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for the Assam D.El.Ed Admission 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:-

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 from recognized board with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST(P)/ST(H) category) in aggregate excluding marks secured in the optional/extra/fourth. 
• Age Limit: The candidate must not be less than 18 years and not more than 34 years as on 1st July 2024. There will be relaxation by 2 years in upper age limit for candidates belonging to SC, ST(P) & ST(H) categories.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Assam D.El.Ed Admission consist of:-

• Pre-Entry Test (PET): Candidates will be required to appear for the PET 2024 Exam, which tests their aptitude and basic knowledge necessary for elementary education.
• Merit List: Based on the performance in the PET Exam 2024, a merit list will be prepared, and candidates will be selected accordingly.

Candidates who are eligible can submit their applications through the SCERT official web portal @scertpet.co.in for admission into the D.El.Ed course.

The application process for SCERT Assam D.El.Ed Admission involves the following steps:-

1. Online Registration: Candidates must visit the official website https://scertpet.co.in and register themselves by providing basic details.
2. Filling the Application Form: After successful registration, candidates need to fill out the online application form with accurate personal and academic details. 
3. Uploading Documents: Candidates must upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, and relevant documents such as mark sheets and certificates. 
4. Application Fee Payment: Application fee of Rs. 600/- needs to be paid online through net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI.
