The National Portal Scholarship (NSP) is one-step solution for students seeking various scholarship offered by the Govt of India. Among its numerous openings, the NSP provides specific scholarship aimed at supporting disabled students in their educational pursuits. 

In this regard, the Department of persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India is implementing three scholarship for students with disabilities through the NSP @scholarships.gov.in

Types of Scholarship

1. Pre-matric scholarship for Class IX and X.
2. Post-matric scholarship for XI to Post-graduation.
3. Scholarship for Top Class Education (For Graduate and Post-Graduate Degree/ Diploma in notified institutes of excellence in education).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the NSP Scholarship for disabled students, applicants must meet the following criteria:- 

1. All the 3 components of scholarships are open to students with benchmark disability i.e, 40% or more disability and having a valid certificate of disability issued by the competent authority / UDID card with 40% or above disability.
2. Annual parental income:
   a. For Pre-Matric & Post-Matric Scholarship will be granted to the differently abled students whose parental/ Guardian’s Income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs per annum. The income certificate should be obtained only from the Circle Officer of respective Revenue Circle. 
   b. For Top Class Scholarship will be granted to the differently abled students whose parental/ Guardian’s Income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 8 lakhs per annum. The income certificate should be obtained only from the Circle Officer of respective Revenue Circle.  
3. Applicants or their parents must link their bank account with AADHARR number.

If you’re a student with disability in India, you can apply for the NSP Scholarship for Disabled Students 2025 through the official National Scholarship Portal. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you:

1. Visit the official website of the NSP portal- https://scholarships.gov.in
2. One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory for applying
3. Students need to register on the NSP https://scholarships.gov.in/ by providing basic personal and academic details
4. After registration, students must fill out the scholarship application form by providing OTR No. and Password.
5. Upload the required documents and submit it online
6. After submitting the form, save the NSP Application ID 2025 for future reference
7. Use the NSP Login for Students to track the status regularly.
