Indian Navy has released the Notification for the Indian Navy IT Executive Branch Recruitment 2024, inviting online applications from eligible unmarried men and unmarried women candiadates to apply for Short Service Commission (SSC) in Information Technology (Executive Branch) of Indian Navy. 

Selected candidates will undergo six weeks Naval Orientation Course at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. The training includes both academic and physical aspects to prepare candidates for their roles as Officers (Sub Lieutenant) in the Navy. A total of 18 vacancies are released this year to be filled through this recruitment process.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for for the Indian Navy SSC Executive IT Recruitment 2024, candidate must meet the following criteria:-

Educational Qualification

• MSc/ BE/ B Tech/ M Tech (Computer Science/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Computer
  Engineering / Information Technology/ Software Systems/ Cyber Security/ System Administration & Networking/ Computer Systems & Networking/ Data Analytics/ Artificial Intelligence).
  OR
• MCA with BCA/BSc (Computer Science/ Information Technology).

Age Limit

• Born between 02 Jan 2000 and 01 Jul 2005 (both dates inclusive).

Selection Process 

The selection process for the Indian Army SSC IT Officer Recruitment 2024 will be through –

• Shortlisting of Candidates: The Indian Navy will shortlist candidates based on their marks obtained in the qualifying degree. 
• Calling for SSB Interview: The shortlisted candidates will be called for a Service Selection Board (SSB) interview through email or SMS. 
• Preparing the Merit List: The merit list will be prepared based on the SSB marks of the candidates. The SSB marks are awarded by a panel of assessors who assess the candidate’s performance in various tests and interviews.
• Medical Examination: The candidates who are successful in the SSB interview will be called for a medical examination. The medical examination is a comprehensive assessment of the candidate’s physical and mental health.
